A new year brings new habits, is it?

We all naturally believe that as the new year begins, we will join the gym, begin new habits, and begin a new life, and that “this year will be different.

What occurs on Day 2 is that we feel like we don’t want to do it, and despair sets in. We must first recognise that depression, happiness, and confidence are all states of our own brain, and recognising this would be a huge relief or self-awareness.

There is no treatment for depression or melancholy other than diverting our minds to do something else or sitting down and relaxing to get through it. The sit and go through it is actually the fundamentals of meditation, which is why the statement relaxing, understanding, and becoming friends with brains is simply more than awareness.

My favourite Motivation

Simply said, “be open to anything,” or “learn acceptance and patience.” It taught me more than simply how to be calm, be more productive, keep your streaks, and accept discipline as your teacher. Since a few months, those have been my essentials for living a healthy and fit life.

The impulse to adopt a new habit in the new year is illogical. There is no such thing as starting next Monday or starting next month, week, year…. To be more specific, start whenever you choose and commit to the task at hand. Whereas some people may create excuses for these modest commitments, I propose thinking ‘this is for your own good and will improve your lifestyle, but it will take time, ie. streaks’ The higher the streak the better the habit.
